of July Celebration Events: The
Village of Ansonia will be celebrating the 4th with a weekend of
activities. Softball tournaments
all weekend, Saturday: parade, Chicken BBQ, Cornhole, bingo, fireworks at dusk
and Sunday: Alice Jones Band, bingo and cornhole.

Darke County “Make a Difference Month”: Now
thru July 14th, OSU Alumni will be accepting videos, CD’s and
DVD’s to be given to the V.A. Hospital to help give our veterans some

Church Flood Assistance: Now
thru July 27 the Church will be accepting financial donations to assist 2
families in Cedar Rapids, Iowa who lost everything due to the flood.

Flood Relief Urgent
Request: Now thru Thursday,
July 10th at 5pm, the community churches, business and organizations
are asking for much needed supplies for cleaning after the floods in Illinois.
All supplies, such as bleach, detergent, Lysol, cleaning towels, etc.,
must be dropped off at the First United Methodist Church, corner of 4th
& Sycamore, Greenville. If you

Mendy Trissel Benefit
Concert: Friday, July 11th,
7 – 9PM at the Trinity Wesleyan Church, Main St., Greenville, will be a
benefit concert for the family of Mendy Trissel to help relieve financial
pressure on her family who are attempting to cover her hospital bills, medical
bills and funeral expenses. Featured
will be the Mariners Quartet, His Voice Through Us, Rev. Peter Menke, Dr. John
Studebaker, Melody Line and the Clay’s. A
free will offering will be taken during the concert or you can send donations to
the Mendy Trissel Memorial Fund at the Greenville National Bank.
